School Bus, Dump Truck Crash On Route 128

BEVERLY, MA — A crash involving a school bus and a dump truck resulted in a student with a possible minor injury and a lot of traffic.

The right lane of Route 128 North was closed after the late-morning crash in Beverly. State Police responded and said the staff and students on board were being transferred to another bus, and that one student was being sent to the hospital with "possible minor injuries."

Both vehicles needed to be towed, and traffic backed up past Route 62 up to the crash site, which was near Route 1A at Exit 20.

It is unknown how many were aboard the bus.
