99-Year-Old Beverly Resident's Performance Welcomes The Current
A drums and clarinet performance from 99-year-old Roger Wonson highlights the luxury senior living facility's grand opening on Thursday.

BEVERLY, MA — At 99 years old, Roger Wonson can still play the tunes on his drums and clarinet.
This week, Wonson's performance helped celebrate the ribbon cutting of The Current Beverly where he will now live and help entertain his neighbors in the senior living community.
Celebrity photographer and creative director Nigel Barker was also among those in attendance on Thursday at the opening of the newly renovated building that includes a penthouse view of Beverly.

The facility includes personal health and wellness services as well as independent living, assisted living, memory care and respite care programs. This is the second The Current location after the first opening in Weymouth in November.
"Everything about The Current is fresh and thoughtful, which is exactly why I became involved in this project," said Nigel Barker, whose television credits include "America's Top Model." "The Current is transforming senior living, they are creating a home with access to first-in-class amenities and care where anyone would be delighted to start a new chapter."
