Accident Causing Delays on Rte. 128 in Beverly

The morning before Thanksgiving commute in Beverly was off to a slow start, thanks to a five car accident on Rte. 128 Northbound near the exit for Rte. 1A.

Traffic was reportedly delayed as much as 30 minutes on the northbound side as emergency crews worked to clear the scene and have the cars towed. The right lane of the highway was reported as being blocked.

There were also delays reported on the southbound side of Rte. 128 as a result of the accident.
