Endicott College To Host 7th Young Writers Workshop

The four-day Beverly program offers creative writing sessions, meals and an optional overnight campus stay.

BEVERLY, MA — North Shore students and families have until June 5 to register for Endicott College’s Young Writers Workshop, a four-day program that gives participants an intensive setting to develop new work and refine their writing.

Participants spend four days in a creative environment working with faculty and fellow young storytellers. Sessions explore poetry, fiction, young adult writing, screenwriting, and writing and music, with opportunities for both emerging and experienced writers to deepen their craft.

The registration cost is $600. That fee includes all activities, lunch, and snacks for all four days, and a T-shirt, according to the program information.

The workshop is designed for high school students entering grades 8–12 in Fall 2026. The workshop will take place on the Beverly campus from June 23 to June 26.

New this year is a workshop offering an optional residential experience that allows students to stay overnight on campus. The option is intended to give students a preview of college life while they become part of a community of writers. Space is limited.

Participants in the workshop work closely with Endicott faculty to generate new writing, refine works in progress, and build skills to give thoughtful feedback to peers.

The program also introduces strategies for promoting and publishing creative work while encouraging collaboration with experienced writers and other students.

"I loved being in an environment with a lot of kids who have the same interests as me," said Madison Pratt, a sophomore at Danvers High School. "Having the younger TA's was something that helped me feel comfortable from the very beginning. Working with the professors at Endicott College felt like such an honor and privilege, and they all made it so engaging and interesting."

Students interested in digital, television, and print journalism may also explore Endicott's Young Journalists Workshop, a companion program focused on reporting, storytelling, and media production.
