BEVERLY, MA — A weekend of activities will accompany the arrival of the Freedom Tribute Traveling Vietnam Wall when it makes a stop on the North Shore this summer.
Beverly will host the wall from July 29 through Aug. 2 at Beverly High School.
A parade and wall set up will occur on July 29, followed by opening ceremonies on July 30 at 5 p.m., and North Shore Concert Band performance on July 31 at 6 p.m.
Aug. 1 will feature a full day of activities to honor veterans and their families.
The program begins at 11 a.m. with food trucks, healing horses and family activities. A veterans bbq will run from 2 to 6 p.m. along with an antique car show.
The day will end with a Ricky Lee concert from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The weekend will wrap up with closing ceremonies on Aug. 2, which will include a church service at 10 a.m.
The event is in conjunction with the yearlong Beverly 400+ celebration with the public invited to events throughout the weekend.
