BEVERLY, MA — Beverly residents are invited to celebrate the grand opening of the McPherson Youth Center with an afternoon of free food and snacks, speakers, a teen showcase, outdoor games and more on Monday.
The event is set for the new youth center on McPherson Drive starting at 3 p.m. A ribbon-cutting will take place at 5 p.m., with the public event concluding at 7.
The event will include teen performances, open basketball games and skateboarding, an interactive mural project, a youth time capsule, free food and snacks, speakers and information from community partners.
The grand opening is the culmination of a $6 million project to demolish and reconstruct the youth center into a modern facility for youth, teens and community groups to utilize.
