BEVERLY, MA — Beverly High School has named former Melrose and Lynnfield boys hockey coach Vin Mirasolo as its new varsity boys coach.
Mirasolo amassed nearly 300 victories during his nearly 25 years on the bench at Melrose and Lynnfield.
He most recently coached in Melrose where he went 87-87-33 with eight playoff appearances in 10 seasons, including the 2021 Freedom Division championship.
He previously coached 15 years in Lynnfield with more than 200 victories and five sectional title game appearances. His record at Lynnfield was 201-100-45.
The Beverly Athletic Department credited Mirasolo for his commitment to player development, accountability and team-first culture.
"Coach Mirasolo has built a reputation for helping student-athletes succeed both on and off the ice," the Beverly Athletic Department said in announcing the hire. "His passion for the game, wealth of experience, and dedication to excellence make him an outstanding addition to the Beverly High School athletic commnity."
