Angie Miller to Rock Salem Common Halloween Night

Beverly's Angie Miller will perform in a free concert at the Salem Common on Halloween night.

"American Idol" top-three contestant Angie Miller of Beverly will perform during a free concert at the Salem Common on Halloween night.

Miller soared to national fame during the popular national singing competition earlier this year. During her "hometown visit" on Idol, she stopped in Jaho Coffee and Tea in Salem, which said she was her favorite coffee shop. Miller's Salem connection also extend to her parents, Tana and Guy, who are pastors of Remix Church, which holds services every Sunday at Bentley Elementary School.

Miller's brother's band, Exiting the Fall, will begin the concert at 7 p.m. and Miller will step on stage at 8 p.m. Miller played with Exiting the Fall last May in Beverly and at the Topsfield Fair earlier this month.

According to a release issued Monday, the performance will conclude with "plenty of time left to celebrate the finale of Haunted Happenings on Washington Street, when a light show and fireworks will light up the Halloween sky at 10:15 p.m."
