Angie Miller Voted Off 'American Idol'
The results were announced Thursday night, deciding who will advance to next week's American Idol finals.
The votes are in.
Angie Miller of Beverly was voted off American Idol season 12 on Thursday night. Kree Harrison and Candice Glover will meet in next week’s finals at 8 p.m. Wednesday on Fox.
Each of the contestants held their arms over each other's shoulders as the results were read. Glover was the first to advance and host Ryan Seacrest said, as always, that the results were read in no particular order.

After a break, Seacrest announced that Harrison would also advance.
Miller fought through tears as she sang her farewell song as her parents, Guy and Tana, looked on from the audience with her brother Jonathan. At the end, they joined her on the stage.

Miller received fewer votes than Harrison and Glover after Wednesday night’s show, when she performed “Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word” by Elton John, “Try” by Pink and “Maybe” by Emeli Sande. All three of Miller’s performances won compliments from the show’s four judges, with mentor Jimmy Iovine saying her performance of "Hardest" was tops in the first round.
“That was one of the best performances I have seen you do,” judge Mariah Carey told Miller after Wednesday night’s performance of “Hardest.”
She was not behind the piano for "Hardest," something Iovine said on Thursday night's show was a "big mistake" but still said she was a 9 out of 10 and said she won that round.
"Although it was great, it could have been that moment," Iovine said, looking back at Wednesday night.
Miller also performed “Try” without also playing the piano. The piano has become a icon of Miller’s performances and something that has set her apart from her competitors.
“I love that you did not perform with the piano,” judge Keith Urban said after “Try.”
Miller credited her performances on Wednesday night to the energy she got from Saturday’s hometown visit to Beverly, which included a parade and concert plus a return to her former elementary school, high school and favorite coffee shop, Jaho in Salem.
“Going home was amazing,” she said. “It refocused me.”
