Angie Sings Anthem as Ayers Takes Momball Title
The momball tournament benefited several local charities and saw the Ayers Ryal Side team end as tournament winners.
The weekend's Momball tournamnet started off with American Idol star Angie Miller singing the National Anthem and ended with the Ayers Ryal Side team as champions.
The 14th annual softball tournament lasted all weekend and included teams of mothers representing all of the public and parochial schools in the city, plus faculty and alumni.
The finals, which featured a team of faculty versus Ayers, aired on BevCam cable access television. A video of Miller's performance from YouTube can be seen attached to this story.
The tournament benefited several groups and charities, including Beverly Public Schools, Riley Rocks, For Jakes Sake and Angkor Charities Wells as well as a food drive from Beverly Bootstraps.
