Cabot Theater Art As Activism Film Contest For High School Students
Deadline: December 1

Deadline for submissions to the second annual Art as Activism Film Contest for high school students is December 1. Sponsored by the nonprofit North Shore advocacy organization, Leading Ladies, the contest is an opportunity for creative high school students to express their views about important social justice issues in three- to five-minute films. The top ten submissions will be screened at The Cabot in downtown Beverly in February 2023.
"We’re hoping to elevate the voices of young people and to encourage kids from all backgrounds to participate," explains Therese Melden, the founder of Leading Ladies. She hopes to spread the word among students in schools, clubs, and programs.
The contest is open to all Massachusetts high school students. Submissions will be judged by professionals in the film industry and social justice arena. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entries.
