Award-Winning Tread Tabata Coming to Beverly

Kathy G, One of Shape Magazine's 50 Hottest Trainers in America, Brings New Gym to Enon Street

Kathy Glabicky “Kathy G,” fitness guru, personal trainer and one of Shape Magazine’s “50 Hottest Trainers in America,” is bringing her signature Tread Tabata workout to a new facility in North Beverly this spring. Tread Tabata was developed by Glabicky more than 6 years ago and is a HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout that combines both running or spinning with full-body floor intervals for a workout that prolongs continued calorie burn post exercise.

With the new location at 4A Enon Street, Glabicky expands upon her successful flagship site she opened more than 5 years ago in Marblehead. Utilizing varying speeds and inclines on the treadmill or spin bike with floor intervals set to timed music, Tread Tabata class participants cycle through 20 seconds of intense exercise and 10 seconds of rest for 8 rounds. All fitness levels are encouraged with Glabicky’s mantra, “You can do anything for 20 seconds.”

“To me, it’s all about creating a supportive community and an energizing vibe, resulting in a workout experience that’s not currently available on the North Shore,” said Glabicky. “Tread Tabata is empowering. Someone may not think they can do an exercise class that incorporates running, but with the 20-second intervals they see that they can take on that challenge – and that empowerment spills into their day-to-day life.”

The new, sleekly-designed facility will feature 10 treadmills, 5 stationary bikes, as well as locker, retail and lounge space. Glabicky regularly brings in live DJs and offers participants easy online class registration. Local instructors with relevant experience can currently register to qualify for Glabicky’s training program to teach classes.

“I’m so excited to meet new people at our convenient Beverly location and help create a portion of their day that they’ll look back on in a positive way,” said Glabicky. “The best parts of my job are experiencing the camaraderie that Tread Tabata creates and getting to watch my clients enjoy themselves – and see real results.”
