BEVERLY, MA — A little bit of Beverly — and a whole lot of Boston-personified — made a celebrity appearance this week when Cambridge actor Ben Affleck sported the Sully's Brand Dunkin'-themed "Believe In Boston" T-shirt in the Hamptons while walking alongside superstar celebrity wife Jennifer Lopez and, it appears, puffing on a cigarette with a lighter in his left hand.

The shirt is the design of Chris Wrenn, who owns Sully's Brand and Bridge Nine Records in Beverly, and told Patch in June he was contacted by the quintessential Massachusetts coffee shop this past winter about a collaboration using what has become his iconic slogan.

Patch readers can check out Affleck — who recently starred in a line of Dunkin' commercials — wearing the familiar garb in this Harper's Bazaar account here.

Wrenn developed a line of shirts, stickers and sweatshirts using the Dunkin' style and color scheme for a spring launch.

"I know the Dunkin' brand is beloved. But if you have a choice of wearing a regular corporate logo or something that maybe conveys a message or a feel with the brand, I think you will do that." - Chris Wrenn, owner of Beverly-based Sully's Brand (Chris Wrenn)

Wrenn first began selling "Believe In Boston" shirts to fervent Red Sox fans outside Fenway Park more than two decades ago.

He operated a store out of Peabody for 14 years before the building was sold during the COVID-19 shutdowns, and previously had retail locations in Boston and Salem, before opening up the record store and T-shirt shop in the former Beverly Glass space at 282 Rantoul Street last September.

A launch party for the Dunkin' design was held at the Beverly Sully's store during the Arts Festival in June with the design available on the Sully's Brand website here.
