BEVCAM HAS NEW WEBSITE

Newly revamped site features ease of access to schedules for Community Channel 8 and Beverly School Channel 22

BEVCAM has a new website at www.bevcam.org that offers a simple format and prompt access to BEVCAM on-air TV schedules, upcoming events and recent news, plus new online streaming video features.

In addition to the comprehensive on-air broadcast schedules, visitors to the site can watch streaming videos of archived city government and school committee meetings. Live streaming on the Internet is provided for City Council and School meetings on the day of the meeting in addition to BEVCAM’s traditional live TV broadcasts.

The website also provides a direct link to BEVCAM’s YouTube channel where selected previous programs, including some past high school athletic events can be viewed. The schedule for live broadcasts of sports events is listed on the Channel 22 calendar that currently shows the slate of BHS boy’s basketball homes games through late February. Games are frequently rebroadcast.

Information regarding membership in BevCam that provides enrollment in training classes for video and TV production can be found on the website.

BEVCAM is pleased to report that it’s membership and the number of local producers has grown significantly over the past year. Many of its locally produced programs have won state and national recognition. BEVCAM provides support to the high school media program, whose enrollment has also increased the past two years, with several students winning national awards.

BEVERLY COMMUNITY ACCESS MEDIA (BevCam) is a non-profit organization that aims to provide education, encouragement and support to individuals and groups in the Beverly community in their efforts to communicate through electronic media (television). Membership is open to individuals and groups within the Beverly community.
