Beverly Airport Gets More than $900,000 In Grants

The grants will be used for a new snow removal truck, enhanced gate security and replace fencing and an underground storage tank.

BEVERLY, MA -- The Massachusetts Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division awarded Beverly Regional Airport four grants totaling $911,085. The grants will be used for a range of upgrades, including the purchase of a new snow removal truck, security upgrades at the gates and replacement of fencing and an underground storage tank at the airport.

"These grants will enhance Airport Safety and Maintenance at the airport," MassDOT said in a statement. "If the airport can demonstrate, to perspective tenants, that their perimeter is secure and that they can remain open during snow events, it will stimulate growth at the facility."
