The announcement comes as Beverly Main Streets looks for community support after a challenging 2023 that included the Summer Block Party being canceled because of weather issues and the New Year's Eve parade being canceled because of a lack of volunteers, support and diminishing attendance in recent years.
"We are still working hard at our mission of promoting and enhancing the economic vitality, cultural and historic resources, and quality of life experienced within our district," Beverly Main Streets said in its newsletter to the community this week. "We do this through community events, resident and visitor engagement and the support of our diverse and ever-growing small business ecosystem.

"To carry out our work, we rely on community support. We are partially funded by the city of Beverly, as well as sponsorships and grants, but we rely mainly on donations from people like you. We could not carry out our programs without the help of dozens of volunteers, our incredible Board of Directors, and our committees made up of small business owners, downtown employees and Beverly residents.
"If you've seen what we do and you like it, we need your help so that we can continue to bring you awesome programming and fun community events."
Beverly Main Streets said it hopes to bring back Beverly's New Year in the future despite not having "the resources to safely deliver the event this year."
Those wishing to support Beverly Main Streets can do so here.
"Like you, we believe in downtown Beverly, and want to see it succeed," Beverly Main Streets said. "So give us a ring, shoot us an email, or come chat with us to learn more about how we endeavor to serve our awesome community, and how you can help."
