Beverly Attorney to Review Handling of Remy Case

The former longtime Essex County District Attorney, who lives in Beverly, has been called upon to led an investigation into the handling of the case of Jared Remy, the son of Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy who is charged with murdering his girlfriend.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan, who had been under fire for her office’s handling of the case. The day before the murder last week, Jared Remy was in court to face domestic violence charges and released on personal recognizance.
