Beverly Awarded $53K in YouthReach Grants
Express Yourself and YMCA North Shore each received $26,550 through the state's YouthReach program.
BEVERLY, MA — Two Beverly organizations have received funding through the Mass Cultural Council YouthReach grant program.
Senate Assistant Majority Leader Joan Lovely (D-Salem) announced the awards for Express Yourself and YMCA North Shore.
Each organization in Beverly will receive $26,550.

These grants aim to help youth acquire social, emotional, and academic skills. The program achieves this by focusing on youth voices, equity, and collective action within the arts, humanities, or science.
"These programs create transformative opportunities for young people that have resulted not just in enriching experiences, but higher high school graduation and college attendance rates," Lovely said.

YouthReach is the longest-running support program for the field of Creative Youth Development in the United States.
The Mass Cultural Council has distributed more than $26 million to a total of 188 organizations as part of the program.
The funding supports programs designed to foster development in younger individuals.
The grants emphasize the importance of arts and culture in educational outcomes.
Both Express Yourself and YMCA North Shore will utilize these funds to continue their work with youth in Beverly.
