Beverly Block Party Bursting With Food, Beer, Music This Weekend

BEVERLY, MA — A Cabot Street block is about to rock in Beverly this weekend.

The return of the annual downtown Block Party will take place on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. with food vendors, local brewers and music.

There is a $5 donation per person at the gates and an acceptable form of Massachusetts I.D. is required to drink.

Cabot Street will be closed for the event from 1:30 to 9:30 p.m. from Pond Street to Federal Street.

Among the local breweries in attendance will be Gentile Brewing, Old Planters Brewing Company, Channel Marker Brewing and Riverwalk Brewing. There will also be dozens of food and craft vendors set up on the street.

Music is scheduled on two stages with Michelle LaPoetica hosting the events at the North Shore Juneteenth State with Wangari Fahari at 5 p.m., salsa lessons with Greg Coles at 6 p.m., Soneta Srey at 6:30 p.m. and the Q-Tip Bandits at 7 p.m.

The Pond Street stage will have Murder Attic at 4 p.m., karaoke with ND Productions from 5 to 7 p.m. and The Squeezebox Trio featuring Beverly's Larry Plitt at 7 p.m.

Several nearby businesses, bars and restaurants are also planning music and other events during and after the block party in conjunction with the event.
