Beverly Bootstraps benefits from Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

Leave non-perishables by your mailbox on Saturday, May 12

The United States Post Office will be holding its annual Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive, the largest one-day food drive in the nation, next Saturday, May 12. This drive has delivered more than one billion pounds of food over the last 20 years. Leave non-perishable food by your mailbox and your local letter carrier will pick up all donations on their regular delivery route on Saturday. All food collected will then be sorted and distributed to local food pantries, including Beverly Bootstraps’ Food Pantry.

With more than 50 million people facing hunger every day in America, including 17 million children, this drive is one way you can help those in your own city. Beverly Bootstraps serves 11% of the people living in Beverly as well as Manchester-by-the-Sea. Please support people in need right here in Beverly by donating the following most needed items used at the Beverly Bootstraps Food Pantry:

Peanut Butter

Please do not donate expired food or anything in glass containers.

Beverly Bootstraps provides critical resources to families and individuals so they may achieve self-sufficiency. They offer emergency housing and long-term assistance including: access to food, housing stability, adult and youth education, counseling and advocacy. They are community funded and supported.
