Beverly Bootstraps To Celebrate 30 Years With Block Party

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly residents are invited to a day to celebrate 30 years of working toward a better life for those in need in the community when Beverly Bootsteps celebrates its anniversary with a block party and food drive.

The free event will take place on Sept. 24 from 1 to 5 p.m. at 35 Park Street and will feature live music, mini golf, jumbo Jenga, cornhole, face painting, balloon animals and a scavenger hunt.

The thrift store will also be open with items on sale at 30 percent off.

There will also be a beer garden from Gentile Brewing Company and the Franco-American Club.

Non-perishable food donations will be accepted at the event.

A short program is scheduled for 3 p.m. with local elected officials to celebrate the 30 years of public support for Beverly Bootstraps.

Beverly Bootstraps provides resources to families and individuals so they may achieve self-sufficiency. The nonprofit offers emergency and long-term assistance, including access to food, housing stability, adult and youth programs, education, counseling and advocacy.

Beverly Bootstraps is community funded and supported.

The event is set to take place rain or shine.
