Beverly Bootstraps Seeks Riders, Walkers For 2026 Ride & Stride For Food

BEVERLY, MA — As more Beverly-area residents turn to Beverly Bootstraps for help putting food on the table, the nonprofit is asking the community to join its team for a regional fundraiser this fall.

Beverly Bootstraps is inviting people to walk, run or ride with Team Beverly Bootstraps at the 2026 Ride & Stride for Food, presented by Three Squares New England.

The event is scheduled for Sept. 27 and begins and ends at Noble and Greenough School, 10 Campus Drive in Dedham.

Participants can choose a 20-, 50-, or 62.2-mile bike ride, a 5K walk, or take part in Off the Beaten Path, which allows supporters to complete their miles wherever and whenever it is most convenient. Community members can join Team Beverly Bootstraps with no registration fee by requesting a complimentary registration code.

The fundraiser comes as demand for food assistance continues to climb. Beverly Bootstraps reported that Food Pantry and Food Locker visits have more than doubled since the height of the pandemic, with more families, children and seniors relying on the programs each month.

Participants will ride and walk alongside Executive Director Allison Caffrey while raising money for the organization's food assistance efforts.

Beverly Bootstraps said every dollar raised by Team Beverly Bootstraps stays local and directly supports food assistance programs serving residents of Beverly, Manchester, Essex, Hamilton and Wenham.

"We see firsthand that the need for food assistance continues to grow," said Caffrey. "Ride & Stride for Food is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, enjoy a day outdoors, and make a lasting difference for neighbors facing food insecurity."
