Beverly City Councillor Won't Seek Reelection

In his fifth term, James Latter is one of the longest-serving members on Council.

BEVERLY, MA -- Ward 3 City Councillor James Latter will no seek reelection when his current term expires at the end of 2019. Latter was reelected to his fifth term in last year's election. Latter said his recent engagement to get married factored into his decision.

"I’m proud of the work we’ve done." Latter told the Beverly Citizen, which first reported this story. "And there’s still work to do. I look forward to doing it for the next 15 months."
