Beverly Community Council Plans Kick-Off Luncheon
The public has a chance to discuss police issues with police and community officials.

The Beverly Community Council is holding a kick-off luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 8 with a forum on community policing.
The event takes place at the Beverly Council on Aging at 90 Colon St. from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Police Chief John LaLacheur, Police Captain Christopher Negrotti, Bob Broudo of the Community Advisory Council, and Andrea Rhoades, the Beverly Community Engagement Coordinator at the North Shore CDC will be on hand to provide input on how members of the community can work with the police.

The Beverly Community Council’s mission is to foster communication and cooperation between members and the greater Beverly community. Through education, advocacy, and action, the Beverly Community Council has anticipated and met the needs of its residents by teaming up with nonprofits and local government agencies.
“This is a great opportunity for Beverly residents to learn about their community, identify any problems, and collaboratively create solutions,” said Rhoades.

The luncheon is a chance to discuss the community with the four panelists over a brown bagged lunch, or the included lunch for a fee of $5 for non-members.
