Beverly Downtown New Year's Eve Event Back To Ring In 2023
The Cabot Street costume parade and beach ball drop return downtown after a two-year absence due to COVID-19.
BEVERLY, MA — The beach ball will drop early in downtown Beverly for the first time in three years this New Year's Eve.
After the past two events were canceled because of the COVID-19 health crisis, Beverly Main Streets is bringing back the Cabot Street costume parade and beach ball drop on Dec. 31 from 3:30 to 7 p.m.
This a free, family-friendly outdoor event that includes music, magic, arts and crafts, assorted animals and more.

Activities begin at 3:30 with the parade starting at 6:15 and the beach ball drop occurring at 6:45.
Cabot Street and several side streets, including streets from the Cabot intersection with Pond Street to the intersection with Bow Street, will be closed to traffic from 3 to 7:30 p.m.

Among the entertainment is the Curious Creatures live animal show downstairs at Montserrat at 248 Cabot Street.
Comic book artist Eli 5 Stone will lead a superhero drawing contest for kids at the Paper Asylum.
Mr. Lobster will be playing catchy and clever acoustic songs for kids at the Paper Asylum.
Music will also include karaoke and DJ sets from Murder Attic.
Pete Jackson's Magic Show will include tricks and a magic rabbit.
Stephanie Beach Magic will also feature plenty of tricks and illusions.
