Beverly Drug Sweep Leads To 2 Charged: Police
Beverly police said the arrests came "after numerous concerns of drug dealing by neighbors in the Ward 2 area of the city."

BEVERLY, MA — A city man and woman were charged with cocaine possession and other drug offenses during a police crackdown on drug activity in the area of Cabot and Franklin streets last month.
Police said they were targeting the area for patrols "due to numerous concerns of drug dealing by neighbors in the Ward 2 area of the city."
The Beverly Police Drug Control unit charged Julie Ann Petipas, 35, with cocaine distribution, cocaine possession and possession of a prescription drug commonly called Xanax.

Police said they also charged Daniel Tod, 32, with cocaine possession.
Police said they seized cocaine consistent with distribution, Xanax pills and $394 in cash.

Both Petipas and Tod were arraigned at Salem District Court.
