Beverly Fire: 1 Dead in Hale St. Blaze

BEVERLY, MA - One person has died in two-alarm fire on Hale Street this morning.

The blaze was st 274 Hale St. The sole resident is believed to have been the victim.

The Beverly Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 10:25 a.m., finding heavy smoke at the home, the fire department said.

A second alarm was struck at 10:37 a.m.

The fire was under control shortly after 11 and working companies were clear by 12:45.

Beverly fire stations were covered by Peabody Engine 4, Middleton Ladder 1, Topsfield Engine 3, and Gloucester Engine 1, the department said.
