Beverly Fire Department Awarded $24K Education Grant

The Federal Emergency Management Agency money will be used for public safety messages and teaching children about fire dangers.

BEVERLY, MA — The Beverly Fire Department will use a $24,000 Fire Prevention and Safety Grant to help educate the public on fire dangers and the proper use of extinguishers.

The city said the Federal Emergency Management Agency grant will go toward purchasing new props for public safety messages, teaching adults and children about fire hazards in homes, and proper use of fire extinguishers and patches for small child education.
