Beverly Fixit Clinic Set For Public Library Saturday
The clinic will provide experts to assist owners in fixing bikes, electronics, clothing, small appliances and other household items.
BEVERLY, MA — Beverly residents looking to save common household items rather than throw out broken ones are invited to a Fixit Clinic at the Beverly Public Library on Saturday.
The Beverly Waste Reduction Committee and BPL are hosting the event from noon to 3 p.m. in the Sohier Room at the main branch where item owners can get help fixing their goods for free. This is not a free repair service but an interactive event in which the owner is expected to participate in the repair under the guidance of a repair coach.
The benefits to the Fixit Clinic are that owners save money by not having to buy replacement items and can learn the skills necessary to fix similar items in the future.
