Beverly Funding Approved for Reconstruction of Broadway
The project aims to connect pedestrians from downtown's commercial district to Beverly Depot Commuter Rail Station.

Funding for the reconstruction of Broadway to connect pedestrians from Beverly's downtown commercial district to the Beverly Depot Commuter Rail Station has been approved, a release from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation said.
According to the release, "New ADA compliant sidewalks and curb ramps, bicycle sharrows, signage, and pedestrian scaled lighting will nicely complement MassDOT’s current Rantoul Street improvements."
The approval of the grant funding was announced Wednesday at the State House by Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, Transportation Secretary and CEO Stephanie Pollack, Highway Administrator Thomas Tinlin, and members of the Legislature during a ceremony for the Complete Streets Funding Program. The program announced approved grants to 11 participating municipalities.
