Beverly High Marching Panther Band To Perform 'Glitter & Groove' Show
The band will begin practices for the upcoming season on Aug. 12 on the athletic turf, weather permitting.

BEVERLY, MA — The Beverly High School Marching Panther Band will begin rehearsals on Aug. 12 for the upcoming season in which it will perform a "Glitter & Groove" show focusing on the glam rock movement of the 1970s.
The summer band camp will run from 3 to 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 12, Aug. 13 and Aug. 14 with practices from 1 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 15.
At 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 15, the band will be dressed in full uniforms for photos with rehearsal continuing in uniform for the night session.

All rehearsals will take place at BHS on the athletic turf field and/or in the field house (weather pending).
The "Glitter & Groove" show will include Alice Cooper's "School's Out," David Bowie's "Modern Love," Queen and David Bowie's "Under Pressure," and Queen's "We Are The Champions."

The marching band will play during five regular season football games, the Thanksgiving home game against Salem and three parades.
The color guard and drumline have already been rehearsing weekly since July 10.
Adam Costa is in his 13th year at the helm of the BHS Instrumental Music Program after serving as the Briscoe Middle School band director since 2004. Adam Silvia, elementary music teacher in the Lynn Public Schools, is serving this season as our drill instructor.
The drumline instructor is Beverly drummer Brian MacDougall. Directing the color guard is BHS alumna Hannah McCoy. This year’s marching band staff also includes Beverly HS alums Eli Eberhardt, Brett Battistelli, Ben Schuster, and Samuel Johnson.
