Beverly To Hold Primary Election For Mayor, Ward 3 City Councilor

The Beverly City Clerk's office has set the primary for Sept. 21.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly voters will have two opportunities to head to the polls this fall with a primary election set for mayor and Ward 3 city councilor.

The City Clerk's office has set the primary for Sept. 21.

Polling locations will remain the same from previous elections.

Ward 3 voters (the McKeown School) will vote for one mayoral and city council candidate on Sept. 21 with all 11 other precincts having the mayor's race only on the ballot.

As of the Tuesday 5 p.m. deadline for having nomination papers certified, there are three candidates for mayor — Mike Cahill (incumbent), Marshall Sterman and Esther Ngotho. There are also three candidates for Ward 3 councilor — Eupilo Marciano, Steven Crowley and Naisha Noelia Tatis.

Stacy Ames told Patch about six weeks ago that she will not be seeking another term as Ward 3 city councilor.
