Beverly Hospital Honored Among Greater Boston's Top Surgery Hospitals In New Guide

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly Hospital has been named one of Greater Boston’s Top Hospitals for Surgery by Boston Magazine.

The hospital was recognized in categories that include OB/GYN surgery, C-section surgery and cancer surgery.

It also received recognition for hip replacement and mastectomy procedures. Beverly Hospital is part of Beth Israel Lahey Health and was one of a select group of Greater Boston hospitals recognized by Boston Magazine in both the OB/GYN surgery and C-section surgery categories.

The inaugural guide was developed by Boston Magazine in partnership with Castle Connolly. he rankings evaluate hospitals using mTedical insurance claims data across multiple commercial and public payors and patient outcome measures, including complication and mortality rates, patient safety, recovery times and discharge rates. The methodology also includes Castle Connolly Top Doctors and physician nomination data.

Essex County OB/GYN said the recognition is tied closely to care provided locally for patients preparing for childbirth or gynecologic surgery. The practice provides obstetric and gynecologic care to patients across the North Shore, including preventive care, pregnancy care, specialized gynecologic treatment and surgery.

"Patients deserve to feel confident in both the providers caring for them and the hospital where they receive this care."
