Beverly To Host Weekend Coronavirus Testing Clinics

The free, drive-thru clinics will be Saturday and Sunday at Beverly High School.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly will host a pair of coronavirus testing clinics this weekend.

The city will host the free, drive-thru testing at Beverly High School Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Beverly was classified as a "moderate-risk" city for community coronavirus spread in the most recent state report released on Feb. 18. As of last Thursday, the city reported 199 new coronavirus cases over the previous two weeks with a test positive rate of 2.18 percent.

The statewide test positive rate as of Wednesday was 1.89 — down from a post-holiday peak of 8.6 percent in early January.
