Beverly Main Streets' THE BLOCK Downtown Street Party is Aug 25

Join Beverly Main Streets at THE BLOCK, their second downtown street party of the year, on Saturday, August 25th from 5:30-9:30pm. THE BLOCK will take place on one block of Cabot Street from Pond Street to Federal Street. Guests can walk around, meet up with friends, listen to live music and enjoy street food, beer and wine. Admission is $5 per person.

While supplies last, free “Beverly Main Streets” logo reusable shopping bags are available at the admission gates. Local bands will provide live music at the Pond Street stage. You can see the The Strungout Playboys (featuring members of The Few Abide) at 5:30pm, Froggy and the Friendship at 7pm and Big Ol’ Dirty Bucket at 8:30pm. The new sound and light set up at the stage, including fog machine, will be provided by Round Table Entertainment. DJ SlipWax will be spinning all genres of upbeat music at Beverly Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza at One Ellis Square (by the Federal Street intersection). Stop by the Beverly Main Streets tent for raffle tickets and information. Major sponsors will be at THE BLOCK with fun giveaways.

Attendees are invited to enjoy dinner and dessert from vendors set up outside on Cabot Street including Soma Restaurant, Fat Belly BBQ Food Truck, Kame Restaurant, Bertucci’s, Pure Pastry, and Winfrey’s Fudge and Chocolates. Menu choices include BBQ, burgers, hot dogs, egg rolls, fried rice, pizza, wings, meatballs, cookies, whoopee pies, homemade fudge and more. Salerno’s Italian Eatery will be selling your favorite craft beers, sangria and wine. Soft drinks and water will be for offered for sale by the food vendors. Downtown restaurants in the area will be open so there will be plenty of choices for everyone.

Important details about THE BLOCK: Admission at the gate is $5 per person. Cash only. Bring your MA ID if you plan to drink. Please note, bags may be subject to inspection. No pets, bikes, skateboards, roller blades, hover boards or drones. Cabot Street will be closed to thru traffic from Pond Street to Federal Street starting at 2:30pm.
