Beverly Man Arrested After Stabbing at Wakefield Golf Course
Eighteen-year-old Curtis Day was taken into custody following the stabbing of another young man with a broken golf club, state police said.

BEVERLY, MA – A Beverly man was arrested Tuesday following the stabbing of an 18-year-old with a broken golf club shaft at a Wakefield golf course.
State police identified the suspect in the attack as Curtis Day, 18, of Beverly.
According to Wakefield Police, officers responded to the Breakheart Reservation for a report of a fight. Police said the victim sustained an injury from a golf club during a fight with another man.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, was transported by Life Flight to Beth Israel Hospital with life-threatening injuries to his neck area, state police said.
According to police, the incident does not appear to be a random attack.

“This appears to be an isolated incident between two parties known to each other. There is no danger to the public,” Lt. Steven Skory of the Wakefield Police Department said.
