Beverly Man Charged In Bagel Shop Break-In: Police
Beverly police said Kendrick Leon, 31, is charged with felony breaking-and-entering and larceny of The Bagel Dudes on June 12.

BEVERLY, MA — A Beverly man accused of breaking into The Bagel Dudges in Beverly Farms and stealing money in the early morning hours of June 12 is facing felony breaking-and-entry, larceny and malicious destruction of property charges.
Beverly police said Kendrick Leon, 31, was charged on Monday night following the investigation into the robbery of the Oak Street location.
Police said they responded to a report of a window being pushed open on the side of the business at about 5:30 a.m. on June 12 and that through a review of security footage with the manager, it was determined that there had been a break-in and money was stolen.

Police said a follow-up investigation by Det. Sgt. David Hathon, Det. Thomas Nolan and Det. Shawn Desmond helped determine a suspect and probable cause for an arrest warrant. Det. Chris Ganey assisted with the arrest Monday night.
Police said Leon was scheduled to face the charges in Salem District Court.
