Beverly Man Held In Wenham Home Invasion

WENHAM, MA — Wenham Police say a Beverly man entered a Maple Street home and threatened two occupants with a knife. Police responded to a 911 call around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, where they learned Edward Erbacher, 61, of Beverly, had attacked one of the occupants before fleeing.

Danvers Police located Erbacher, who was known to the residents, driving a Jeep on Route 128 and arrested him for operating under the influence of alcohol. Erbacher was charged with home invasion and armed assault in a dwelling.
