Beverly Man Pleads Guilty To Breaking Into Ex-Girlfriend's Home
Stephen MacDougall, 49, of Beverly, was already on probation for attacking another former girlfirend with a hammer.

BEVERLY, MA -- A Beverly man pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges stemming from a Sept. 7 incident, in which his ex-girlfriend found him naked in her bed when she came home. In a victim-impact statement, the woman asked a judge to make it "crystal clear" to Stephen MacDougall, 49, of Beverly, that he was not welcome at her house. After pleading guilty to the charges Wednesday, MacDougall was sentenced to four months in jail, which will run concurrently with a six-month sentence her received for violating his probation.
In May 2014, MacDougall was arrested after a standoff with Beverly Police, and after he held an ex-girlfriend in his home for several days. According to court documents, the woman was able toe scape and told police she had been beaten, bitten and hit with a hammer. After pleading guilty to seven charges stemming from the case, he was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison and three years probation.
