Beverly Mayor Mike Cahill says reopening of city buildings, schools mean it's more important than ever to adhere to coronavirus protocols.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly Mayor Mike Cahill is urging residents not to get complacent with coronavirus protocols as the city enters a pivotal time with municipal buildings reopening to the public and most students set to return to in-classroom learning by next week.
"It remains so very important that we continue to respect the novel coronavirus, and that we take precautions every day to prevent the virus from spreading," Cahill said in a message to the community.
Cahill asked residents to wear a mask in public at all times, practice social distancing and practice good hygiene. He also urged residents experiencing coronavirus-like symptoms to get tested and stay quarantined at home while awaiting results, along with all members of the household of the resident with symptoms.
