Beverly Middle School Awarded LEED Certification
Mayor Mike Cahill said the U.S. Green Building Council identified the school as a "showcase example of sustainability."

BEVERLY, MA — The U.S. Green Building Council recognized Beverly Middle School for LEED certification in building sustainability and environmental impact.
Mayor Mike Cahill said the city received the certification for the school as a "showcase example of sustainability" and that "demonstrates the city's leadership in transforming the building industry, and our commitment to the goal of building a healthy, sustainable future."
The Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design program is aimed at recognizing "green" buildings that ensure electricity cost savings, lower carbon emissions and healthier environments.
