Beverly Police Lift Lockdown Of Hospital, School
The search for a suspect has been called off.

BEVERLY, MA — The "intense search" for a suspect that prompted a lockdown of Beverly Hospital and Beverly High School was called off Wednesday night, police said. The three-hour search for a suspect in a weekend domestic violence incident took place was ended without the suspect in custody.
The hospital lockdown was "out of an abundance of caution," Officer Mike Boccuzzi told Patch. It isn't believed there was ever a direct threat to the hospital.
The search for Charles Dixon started around 4:30 p.m. after officers received information that he was near the residence of the victim of his alleged domestic incident.
