Beverly Police Arrest Salem Man On Cocaine Charges
The arrest follows complaints of drug activity by by residents at 490 Rantoul Street in Beverly.

BEVERLY, MA -- A Salem man was charged with possession with intent to distribute Class B cocaine after a week-long investigation by the Beverly Police Drug Control Unit . Beverly police arrested Juan Castro Cruz, 46, of Northey Street in Salem, on Wednesday at 490 Rantoul Street following an alleged druig transaction. The investigation started after police fielded complaints from residents of the apartment building about drug activity in the area.
According to the Beverly Citizen, which first reported this story, police covered cocaine with a street value of about $1,000. Danvers Police and the Everett Police K-9 unit assisted in the arrest.
