Beverly Police Bust Alleged Crack Dealers

Two Lynn men arrested following a traffic stop in Beverly Monday afternoon are now facing drug charges, according to police.
Joshua Delgado-Peralata, 24, of 14 Holland Ave., Lynn, was arrested on charges of possessing a class B substance (cocaine) with intent to distribute and providing false information to a police officer. Hector L. DeJesus, 21, of 20 Elm St., Lynn, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, possessing a class B substance (cocaine) with intent to distribute and forging an RMV document.
According to a release issued Tuesday morning, officer Thomas Nolan was monitoring traffic on Bridge Street at approximately 4 p.m. when he observed a Gray Infiniti speeding.
After stopping the vehicle on County Way, Nolan determined that the two occupants of the vehicle provided him with documents with false identities on them.
According to the report, officer Nolan believed DeJesus had secreted drugs in his mouth and Delgado-Peralata was spotted attempt to stuff several small white items into his mouth that he had cupped in his hand.
Following their arrest, officers recovered six small clear plastic knotted twists containing a white rock/ powder substance believed to be cocaine.
Also recovered were 2 cell-phones and approximately $470.00 in cash.
