Beverly Police Confiscate Cache Of Fireworks, Homemade Explosives
These weren't your garden-variety sparklers, bottle rockets and roman candles.

BEVERLY, MA -- Beverly police called in the Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad Friday night to help dispose of a caches of fireworks and explosives the department confiscated. Police responded to a call of suspicious activity on Northbridge Road around 9:30 pm, where they seized high-grade fireworks, home made explosive devices and several pounds of chemicals used to make fireworks.
Charges are pending as the investigation continues. A total of 168 explosive devices were confiscated and destroyed, police said.
