Beverly Police To Host 2nd Connolly Memorial Toy Drive

BEVERLY, MA —Beverly police are once again hosting the Officer Sean R. Connolly Memorial Toy Drive to collect items for underprivileged children in the area.

The drive will be held on Dec. 4 at the North Beverly Plaza from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Residents are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy. Officers will be there collecting donated items in a "safe, clean and socially distant manner."

"This year has been difficult on many families and the BPD would like to assist them," Beverly police said.

Connolly, of Rowley, died unexpectedly on Oct. 29, 2020. He was 53 years old.

Connolly worked for the police departments in Hamilton and Beverly.
