Beverly Police To Host Drug Take Back Day This Weekend
Residents can drop off medications, vitamins and other narcotics at the police station on Saturday.
BEVERLY, MA — Beverly residents can drop off unused medications, vitamins, narcotics and veterinary medicine during a drug take back event at the police station on Saturday.
The event, hosted by the Beverly Health Department and Beverly Police Department as part of National Drug Take Back Day, will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 175 Elliott Street.
Prescription and over-the-counter medications and medication samples will be accepted.

Sharps, thermometers, IV bags, bloody or infectious waste, inhalers, hydrogen peroxide, and personal care products will not be accepted at this event.
The event is designed to highlight the need to dispose of medications and other similar items properly so they do not wind up in the hands of those who should not have them or be thrown out or flushed down the toilet where they can wind up contaminating soil or groundwater.

Medications are accepted 24/7 in the Beverly Police Station lobby or the lobby of Beverly Hospital. Sharps are accepted at the main entrance of Beverly Hospital and at the "sharps kiosk" in the police station lobby.
