Screwdriver Assault Reported on Courtney Drive

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 

Sunday, March 23: 

• At 6:46 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Putnam Street.
• At 8:14 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Whitney Avenue.
• At 8:20 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Kennedy Drive.
• At 8:35 p.m., police and fire units responded to a dryer fire on Northridge Road.
• At 10:11 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Mill Street.
• At 10:47 p.m., a Courtney Drive resident called police to report that someone had been assaulted with a screwdriver. Police will seek a warrant against the alleged attacker.

Monday, March 24: 

• At 3:45 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Dodge Street.
• At 5:07 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Dodge Street.
• At 7:22 a.m., police responded to a report of stolen copper wiring at the intersection of Rantoul and Pleasant streets.
• At 8:27 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Herrick Street.
• At 11:33 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on McKay Street.
• At 12:58 p.m., police responded to a past larceny on Sohier Road.
• At 4:01 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Bridge Street.

Arrest

Christian Santiago, 32, of 215 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having four outstanding warrants.
