Beverly Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrests

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department's log: 


Friday, March 21: 

• At 4:15 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Essex Street.
• At 4:27 p.m., police six old homeless camps scatter around behind the school on Woodland Avenue were cleaned out.
• At 5:26 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on School Street.
• At 5:39 p.m., police responded to a heroin overdose on River Street.
• At 5:59 p.m., police responded to a possible overdose on Odell Avenue.
• At 6:20 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Cabot Street.
• At 11:47 p.m., police responded to a pas assault and battery with a golf club on Cabot Street. The victim was taken to the hospital and told police the suspect was attempted to rob them.

Saturday, March 22: 

• At 1:58 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Bartlett Street.
• At 2:48 a.m., police responded to a reported fight on Elliott Street.
• At 3:14 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Rantoul Street.
• At 5:43 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Pierce Avenue.
• At 8:09 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a police cruiser on Cabot Street.
• At 11:20 p.m., police responded to a large house party on Haskell Street.

Sunday, March 23: 

• At 10:16 a.m., police responded to a report of people fighting near the intersection of Mill and Ropes streets.
• At 3:35 p.m., police conducted  well-being check on Beverly Commons Drive.
• At 4:37 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Rantoul Street. Jessica R. Cote, 30, of 14 Gardner St., Salem, was arrested on charges of illegally possessing a class D substance (marijuana) and illegally possessing a class B substance. Eric E. Jalbert, 25, of 23 Aborn St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of illegally possessing a class D substance (marijuana).

Other Arrests

Lauren J. Christy, 17, of 21 Lauren Lane, Lynn, was arrested on a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Steven M. Crowley, 20, of 40 Elliot St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Timothy H. Leger, 18, of 37 Castle Circle, Peabody, was arrested on a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Stephanie L. Moore, 18, of 11 Carolyn Drive, Danvers, was arrested on a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Shawn M. Sequeira, 18, of 12 Lowell St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol.
