Beverly Man Arrested on Drunk Driving Charge

Wednesday, March 12:
- At 4:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious motor vehicle on Woodland Avenue.
- At 5:06 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Rantoul Street.
- At 6:18 p.m., police and fire units responded to an alarm on Meeting Place Circle.
- At 7:10 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Balch Street.
- At 7:42 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Rantoul Street.
- At 9:09 p.m., police responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Cabot and Cox streets.
- At 11:28 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Enon Street.
- At 11:50 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Lothrop Street. Matthew C. Gibbons, 30, of 10 Adeline Road, Beverly, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Thursday, March 13:

- At 7:14 a.m., police responded to a report of an older man causing a disturbance in a store on Elliott Street.
- At 9:38 a.m., police responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Rantoul Street.
- At 11:21 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Middlebury Lane.
- At 1:38 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Cabot Street.
- At 1:47 p.m., police responded to a report of fraudulent activity on Stone Street.
- At 2:13 p.m., police and fire units responded to a fire alarm on Cabot Street.
- At 3:11 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Rantoul Street.
- At 6:05 p.m., police responded to a report of a homeless person bothering customers on Elliott Street.
- At 6:36 p.m., police responded to a report of a man on the railroad tracks near Park Street.
- At 8:10 p.m., a Rantoul Street resident called police to report that he neighbor punched him and took his food.
Michael A. Waites, 57, of 25 River St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
